PALAWAN

Boarded on a 20-seater Dornier aircraft on a 3500 altitude for 75 minutes made my mom say: “Never board on a small aircraft again”. Though the flight from Manila to EL Nido airport went well, the sound of the airport made my brain lights up as it’s going to be a huge one. I was wrong. From there we hopped on a jeep that looks more like a mini-bus, which people could literally stand up on the roomy inside of it. Quite lucky we were not packed that day, I can already imagine the scenario in the sweltering hot summer days! It was a 15-minute uphill and downhill ride to the seaport of the small town of El Nido. WASAGA BEACH

WASAGA BEACH A quick getaway to Wasaga Beach, about an hour and a half north of Toronto. Perfect place to bring family and friends for picnic and swimming. You'll notice that food we brought are all store-bought, as we left Toronto in a hurry (about 5:00PM) because this quick road trip was not planned. We just go when we feel like it, and I find that it is more feasible than planning a daytrip somewhere! LOL. We were greeted with a country side that is super laidback, with lush greenery as far as the eye can see. Definitely a welcome change to the fast-paced way of life of a Torontonian. Lush greenery and that striking red barn, spells amazing countryside to me! We always go to Niagara Falls , as it is a short drive as well from Toronto, and lots of attractions to keep the whole family entertained, but if you are looking for some rest and relaxation, Wasaga is the place to be! Long Point Provincial Park

Visited the day use area of Long Point Provincial Park back in July 2020 and the water was unbelievably flat (little waves created by a seadoo/ or jetski, think of an infinity pool that is huge! I’ve read from blogs that Lake Erie is one day super calm and super wavy the next, boy that’s so true. This Great Lake really packs a wave, and notorious for undertow currents that makes it dangerous for non-swimmers. We were here for an overnight early fall camping in Monarch campground (site # 358) yesterday and the water is cold and lots of waves but that didn’t stop us from dipping! Lots of room to physical distance from anyone outside our bubble. We reserved site #358, it was premium site but quite open and facing the lane way. We just had to park and re-park in a way that covers our picnic area, and our tent at night for a bit of a privacy. Leisurely walked along campgrounds and ‘shop’ campsites for our next year’s camping trip! Campers I find ever...

Hanlan's Point Nudist Beach Canada

Who would have thought that someone like me would go to such place? Funny, but my friend and I did, on one hot sunny day of 2008, everything went well according to plan. Toronto Island, where a complainer wouldn’t pass the b risk walkers’ standards to walk along the loooooong trail in a hot and sweaty summer day! So, renting a bike for $7 an hour was the only option as I categorized my friend as one bitchy complainer. Puerto Galera Philippines

Puerto Galera We went to Puerto Galera summer of 2017. Oh boy, was it hot! Puerto Galera is located about an hour ferry ride south of Batangas port. We stayed in White Beach, a long stretch of white sand beach in Puerto Galera, where locals and tourist-alike bask under the sun. Gorgeous sunset. HOTEL We were booked at White Beach Lodge & Restaurant for two nights and three days. We booked from a third party booking company called AGODA, but after a mishap when we arrived, we later on was placed to Residencia La Estela. The owner gave us rooms way far from the beach, with no nice views, whatsoever. Funny thing too was, it was behind the owner's own house. The flush was completely broken so we had to use old school of flushing toilet by using a pail of water.
