SANDBANKS PROVINCIAL PARK
Sandbanks Provincial Park has one of the finest beach in Ontario. This beautiful beach is located just about two and a half hours car ride from Toronto. West Lake beach (day use) is open to general public from mid-May to early November all year-round. You'll see the distinction of the whole road trip from city to rural areas. From dense residential areas, to tall buildings, to heavy traffic, to the county: lush greenery is always a welcome change to see! The trek in highway 401 a.k.a. McDonald Cartier Freeway is a breeze especially with the green scenic views up ahead, and left & right. That is if you appreciate nature, not the long and boring car ride!
